Chiropractic Adjustments
Chiropractic adjustments involve a physical manipulation of the spine to provide relief for musculoskeletal conditions. In order for your chiropractor to make these adjustments, a sudden, controlled force is applied to a specific spinal joint using their hands or a specialized instrument.
This is one of the most common forms of chiropractic treatment and probably what comes to mind when you think of going to a chiropractor. This procedure is used to improve the physical function of the spine and body and put the spine back into proper alignment. Chiropractic adjustments can also improve motion and flexibility.
Spinal Decompression
Spinal decompression can be a wonderful pain relief alternative to a surgical procedure for a herniated disc or bulging disc. Spinal decompression is performed with the use of a decompression table to help maneuver the problematic disc back into place without the need for an invasive surgery such as microdiscectomy.
During a spinal decompression procedure, the patient is strapped on to the decompression table with a harness. Once strapped in, your chiropractor will use computerized technology to direct the table to stretch targeted areas of your spine. The stretching of your spine allows the herniated or bulging disc material to be retracted through the use of negative pressure. This provides relief and helps heal the injured disc.
K-Laser Therapy
K-Laser therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, is a magnificent form of physical therapy that utilizes a high powered laser to propagate the natural healing processes within the body. As the laser’s high powered light energy passes through the skin, photobiostimulation is started by the cell membrane, enhancing the natural healing functions of the body.
This has proven to be a highly effective form of physical therapy. The increased natural healing rate of the body caused by K-Laser therapy can greatly reduce the recovery time a patient needs following an injury such as car accident trauma.
