New patients will usually undergo diagnostic tests as well to help better understand pathologies and identify structural abnormalities that could help diagnose any problems. Diagnostic testing may include X-rays or MRI scans.
If X-rays are needed, we will take you into our X-Ray room with our chiropractic physician who will help you get ready. Once the films are ready, one of our car accident doctors will go over the films with you to see what treatment plan will be best for you. They will also go over your paperwork with you to make sure everything is in order. X-rays can help:
- Diagnose recent trauma
- Diagnose spondyloarthritis
- Examine spinal deformities, such as scoliosis
An MRI may be requested if your chiropractor believes there is soft tissue damage. An MRI can help determine if there are torn mussels, damaged discs, compressed nerves.
